iHydrate Privacy Policy

iHydrate is a subscription-based hydration app designed with privacy in mind. We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the app, improve reliability, and provide accurate guidance.

Subscriptions and Purchases

iHydrate uses Apple’s in‑app purchases for subscriptions. Payments are processed by Apple; we do not have access to your full payment details. The app may receive your subscription status and non-personal transaction metadata to enable premium features and validate receipts on device.

Analytics and Performance

To make iHydrate fast and reliable, we collect anonymous analytics and performance metrics, such as crash reports, screen load times, and high-level feature usage counts. This data is aggregated, not tied to your identity, and is used solely to improve the app. We do not use advertising identifiers and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Location and Weather

With your permission, iHydrate uses your location to determine local weather. This helps estimate your daily water needs and provide more relevant hydration guidance. Location access is optional and can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.

When weather data is requested, the app may transmit approximate coordinates to a weather service to obtain local conditions. We do not store your precise location, and we do not combine location with other personal information.

Data Storage

Your hydration logs and preferences are stored on your device. iOS may include this data in encrypted device backups (e.g., iCloud backups) under your control. We do not operate servers that store your personal hydration data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. Third parties are limited to essential services such as the App Store for billing and a weather provider for local conditions. These providers receive only the data necessary to perform their function.

Children’s Privacy

iHydrate is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
